Nigerian Idol Season 5 winner Ogunrombi Olakunle Koya aka K Peace has released his first single titled “In Love with An Angel” under his new record label known as Huzzle Records.
The singer packed a punch in the new song as both the sound and lyrics reflect the mind of a man who is sentimental about his emotions while not being afraid to go any length to prove his love. K Peace displays his knack for infusing different elements and genres in the song even though he describes his genre as Fuji and Blues or Fuji Afro-Vibe.
“In Love With An Angel” is another promising hit from the stable of K Peace after he had wow the music industry with singles like Orire, Gentle Man, Dan Dan, Ediyeawan and Halele. His Fuji cover version of John Legend’s “All of Me” got the singer his moment of social media attention as the cover trended amazingly well, putting the singer on the limelight yet again.
K Peace who dreams of winning international awards joined Huzzle Records’ family who already has Popito and Psypro, some months and he appears to be very optimistic of the prospects of his new family, pouring nothing but accolades on the record label.
He said,
“I signed with Huzzle Records because I believe they’re not just about my music but about my well-being. I’m moving forward to another level of my music career and Huzzle Records is a label that never jokes with massive pushing and giving the best promotions to their artists for the world to see”.
K Peace won the Nigerian Idol in 2015. He has worked as a backup singer to top music acts like Yemi Alaade, Patoranking, Damny Krane, Simi, Project Fame for 3 seasons, and as a lead vocalist for Bolanle Austin Peter ( BAP) Terra Kulture since 2013 up until now as well as The Sharp Band All-Stars owned by Anesi.
K- Peace can infuse any kind of genre in his music given his versatility but he describes his kind of music as Fuji and Blues or Fuji Afro-Vibe. According to him, he loves to sound Nigerian and his kind of style is his identity that stands him out of the crowd.
His musical foundation was forged by listening to great legends like King Sunny Ade, Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey, Ayinla Omowura, Shina Peters, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, Bonny M and so on through his father’s music box.
According to him, he would like to work with music producers such as Magicsticks, Pheelz, Yung John and others .
