Following the results of her outcry online, popular Nollywood actress Kemi Afolabi has advised the public not to underestimate the power of social media.

Rallying her fans online, the actress had posted: “Help tag @gtbank it’s been over 3 months that they held on to my N510,000. @gtbank kindly do the needful. I have been patient; I’m exhausted.”

Giving an update on the issues in a post shared on her Instagram page on Tuesday, Afolabi explained how her outcry on the internet worked for her like magic as the bank refunded her hours later.

Expressing her gratitude to her fans for helping her to drag the bank, she wrote: “GTB Fraud Unit made sure the money I erroneously transferred to their customer is returned to my account. Thank you all for helping me tag GTB.

“My dear! Never you underestimate the power of social media. Thank you all.”
