Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has singled out youngster, Cole Palmer for praise following his side’s UEFA Super Cup win over Sevilla on Wednesday night.

Guardiola said that Palmer has character and played really well against Sevilla.

Palmer scored the equalizer for Man City as they drew 1-1 against Sevilla but won the match 5-4 via penalty shoot-out.

Speaking to reporters after Man City defeated Sevilla in the Super Cup final, Guardiola said: “He [Palmer] has a character. It is not easy to play against defenders like (Marcos) Acuna, for example, who is a top defender.

“It is not easy, it is a final. He is a young player playing in these stages.

“It is not easy for these guys. He played really, really good and scored a fantastic goal, too.”
