Football pundit, Shaka Hislop has suggested to Liverpool to consider appointing Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou as Jurgen Klopp’s replacement.
According to Hislop, Postecoglou manages players like Klopp.
Liverpool are currently in search of Klopp’s successor at Anfield after the German announced in January that he will leave the club at the end of the season.
The Reds were reportedly keen to appoint Xabi Alonso to take over from Klopp in the summer but the Spaniard opted to continue at his current club Bayer Leverkusen.
Speaking about the kind of manager Liverpool should appoint as Klopp’s successor, Hislop told ESPN, via TBR Football: “Listen, in terms of fit, I think Postecoglou is as close to Jurgen Klopp as you will get, both in terms of how his teams play and in terms of his personality, how he manages the players, how he manages the fans which is a big part of Jurgen Klopp’s appeal, certainly to Liverpool fans.”
