Former Golden Eaglets captain Samson Tijani has joined Norwegian club Fredrikstad on loan.

Tijani will remain with Fredrikstad until December 2024.

The midfielder was shipped out on loan by Austrian club RB Salzburg.

The 22-year-old joined Red Bull Salzburg in 2020 but has struggled to break into the first team.

The playmaker has made just three league appearances for Red Bull.

He has spent time on loan at TSV Hartberg, Lifering and Wolfsberger.

Tijani captained the Golden Eaglets to the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Brazil.
