British broadcaster, Piers Morgan has reignited debate over Arsenal’s transfer decisions, claiming the Gunners would have secured three Premier League titles if they had signed Cristiano Ronaldo when he became available after leaving Manchester United.
Morgan shared his opinion via a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday night, following Ronaldo’s brilliant performance for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League.
Reacting to the Portuguese star’s sensational second goal in Al-Nassr’s 2-1 victory over Al-Riyadh at Al-Awwal Park, Morgan wrote:
“I wish Arsenal had taken my advice to sign @Cristiano when he left United and was keen to come to us. We’d have probably won 3 League titles if he’d been leading our line, he’s still one of the best finishers in the world.”
Ronaldo scored a brace in the match, once again proving his enduring goal-scoring prowess at the age of 40.
Al-Nassr’s next fixture is set for next Friday, when they face Al-Qadisiyah.
