Brazilian legend Cafu has snubbed Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius Júnior, and Jude Bellingham as he named Rodrygo as the player who holds the key to Real Madrid’s effectiveness.
The former AC Milan right-back suggested that Real Madrid struggle whenever Rodrygo doesn’t have a good game on the pitch.
Cafu told Spanish publication SPORT (via Madrid Universal) that Rodrygo has become a fundamental piece in Real Madrid’s squad.
He said: “When Rodrygo plays, Vinícius works, Valverde too, the same with Mbappé and also with Bellingham. When Rodrygo is not very well, Real Madrid have a lot of difficulty articulating the plays. He has become a fundamental piece.”
Rodrygo has scored 13 goals and provided 10 assists for Real Madrid across all competitions this season.
The 24-year-old joined the Spanish La Liga giants from Brazilian club Santos in 2019.
