Yinka Theisen isn’t done speaking about her messy break-up with the son of Pete Edochie, Linc Edochie.
On her Facebook page, she revealed her plans to make a video soon and explain a few things about their breakup. Yinka revealed that their issue was never one of a lack of love, but rather one of compatibility and understanding.
Yinka said that the kind of man who will love her is not the kind who wants a mouse for a wife, nor does he want her to stay off social media. Though she respects Linc, Theisen said she has refrained from saying a lot because of the respect she has for him.
Theisen further admonished May’s supporters to continue supporting her; however, she unapologetically stand by Yul and Judy Austin.
“I intend to make a video soon & explain a few things about Lincoln Edochie & I. I hope that after this, everyone will keep their mouths shut. Linc is not Yinka, and Yinka is not Linc. We have very different ways of looking and doing things. Our issue is not a lack of love. We both love each other. It is about compatibility and understanding. The kind of man who will love me is not the kind who wants a mouse for a wife. Certainly not the kind of man who wants me to get off social media. I respect Linc & any man I am with. I have refrained from saying a lot because of the respect I have for him. While I respect my man, I am not stupíd and not a pushover. Enough of the madness. If you support Mrs Mary Yul Edochie, do so. I proudly support Yul and Judy! I have my reasons and don’t owe anyone an explanation for this. Linc & I have forgiven each other. We may not make it as a couple, but that too is okay”.
In another post, Yinka said that marriage or a relationship isn’t an opportunity to turn a woman into a slave.
“While marriage/relationship is a great thing, no man should take it as an opportunity to turn a woman into a slave. We are all different & raised differently. I grew up in a home where my mom had a voice. My grandmother had a voice”.
In relationships, a woman should not take advantage of the fact that her man has no money and disrespect him. The man, too, should not make the woman walk on eggshells. When a man has a chip on his shoulder, it is always disastrous. He feels the need to control everything. I spoke to a friend yesterday who kept reiterating that a man who is not doing well financially can never do well in a relationship. That is sad, especially when a woman is willing to work with him. Money is not everything”.
Yinka married Linc in June 2025 and immediately began publicly showing love to Yul Edochie and Judy Austin, a move that did not go down well with supporters of May Edochie.
In June, Linc had distanced himself from Yinka following her attacks on May Edochie. He made it known that he doesn’t endorse May’s attacks or posting her number online, which had triggered meaningless retaliation. Yul’s elder brother added that it was better to be alone and at peace than to be in a union filled with landmines.
Reacting to his public statement, Yinka expressed sadness at how a man she loves can throw her under the bus over an argument because of fear. Yinka added that since he cowardly embarrassed her on social media, she will respond in kind.
In her first interview, Yinka said she didn’t like how the family threw her under the bus and believes it’s because she is Yoruba. She noted how she was accused of leaking the phone numbers of family members, which she denied. She alleged that Rita Edochie is pretending to be on May Edochie’s side while instigating problems for May behind the scenes.
