West Ham United have confirmed the termination of Graham Potter’s contract with immediate effect.
The club released a statement on its official website on Saturday, September 27, 2025, confirming its decision to sack the former Brighton and Chelsea manager. West Ham United have failed to hit the ground running since the second half of the 2024/25 season since the appointment of Graham Potter after he was dismissed by Chelsea.
The club’s hierarchy confirmed that results and performances over the course of the second half of last season and the start of the 2025/26 season have not matched its expectations. The believe that a change is necessary in order to help improve the team’s position in the Premier League as soon as possible.
The club can confirm that assistant coach Bruno Saltor, first team coaches Billy Reid and Narcis Pelach, lead goalkeeper coach Casper Ankergren, and Goalkeeper Coach Linus Kandolin have also left with immediate effect.
Who will replace Graham Potter at West Ham United?
The Hammers confirmed that the process to hire a new manager is currently ongoing but there was no clear indication on who will be in charge when they face Everton. However, there are reports that former Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santos will take charge of their next Premier League game.
