The spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, has denied reports claiming a court has barred the police from enforcing the Motor Vehicle Tinted Glass law scheduled to commence on Thursday, 2 October 2025.

Some Nigerians had over the weekend insisted that the police was going against the court. They argued that a lawsuit had been filed by the Nigeria Bar Association challenging the powers of the law to enforce the acquisition of a tinted glass permit, and that since the matter is still in court, the police cannot commence the enforcement of the law as planned.

However in a statement released on his X handle,. Hundeyin stated that no court has given an order for the suspension of the law. He said the enforcement will go on as scheduled.
