Liverpool manager, Arne Slot has criticized his team for failing to beat Galatasaray in the Champions League on Tuesday.
According to Slot, it was disappointing that Liverpool failed to beat the Turkish Super Lig champions, adding that his players hardly played or created chances in the second half.
Recall that Victor Osimhen scored the only goal of the match from the penalty spot in the first half as Galatasaray defeated Liverpool.
“Disappointing because you play football to win a game and that is what we did not do,” Slot said at his post-match interview after the game.
“For me, it was a different loss to the one we had against [Crystal] Palace because for me there was a lot more to like, especially in the first half, which was maybe different from the Palace game.
“And in the second half, it became harder and harder for us to create. First of all, because we hardly played in the second half.
“By ‘hardly played’ I mean the ball was hardly in play.”
