Victor Osimhen says Galatasaray achieved a great feat with the win over Liverpool, NEWSUNPLUG reports.
The Turkish Super Lig champions scraped past Arne Slot’s side 1-0 in their Champions League clash at the RAMS Park on Tuesday night.
Osimhen scored the winning goal from the penalty spot in the 16th minute.
The strike makes him the highest scoring Nigerian in the history of the Champions League.
It was also his first-ever goal in the competition for Galatasaray.
Osimhen was named Man of the Match after the game.
”Frankly, I want to congratulate the team first. It was a very tough opponent for us, and many people, except for the fans here, didn’t really believe we would win.
“We managed to pull together as a team,” he told the club’s official website.
