Rapper Armani White, best known for his viral hit “Billie Eilish,” was arrested in Kentucky on Sunday night after police said he caused a disturbance while filming a music video on a major highway.
According to booking records, the 28-year-old artist, whose real name is Enoch Tolbert, was taken into custody by the London Police Department and charged with second-degree disorderly conduct as well as stopping, standing, or parking on a limited-access highway.
Authorities say multiple 911 calls were made after witnesses reported seeing the Def Jam signee standing on a concrete divider in the middle of Interstate 75, where he allegedly began dancing as part of a video shoot. Officers arrived on the scene shortly after and arrested him in Laurel County.
White was booked into the Laurel County Correctional Center and later released. Photos from the booking process show him without his signature beaded hairstyle, which police reportedly required him to remove before his mugshot was taken.
The Philadelphia-born rapper is currently touring with T-Pain and had recently been teasing new material on social media. His team has yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.
White rose to fame in 2022 with “Billie Eilish,” which earned multi-platinum status and propelled him into mainstream recognition.
