Nigerian singer Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, popularly known as Spyro, has opened up about how his fiancée, Janet Atom, has been a positive influence in his life, helping him stay disciplined and avoid distractions.
The “Who’s Your Guy” hitmaker admitted that before meeting Janet, he often found himself “tempted” by women, especially those in Lekki.
Expressing his gratitude, Spyro described his fiancée as his “Jesus baddie,” praising her for transforming his life.
Sharing a photo of Janet on Instagram, he wrote:
“Eiii God! My very own Jesus baddie @_callme_njure. Thank you again for saving me from Lekki girls o, na me know wettin my eyes see.”
It will be recalled that Spyro recently proposed to Janet Atom. The singer revealed that they first met at a nightclub while announcing their engagement in September.
In other news… A Nigerian chef, Bawalicious, has shared a sobering encounter with his Chinese client that exposed Nigeria’s growing obsession with fake products and “show-off” culture.
He said the client refused to buy new clothes or repair his iPhone 15 in Nigeria, insisting he’d only do so back in China. When the chef called him stingy, the man laughed and asked the price of his ₦35,000 Louis Vuitton T-shirt, revealing that the same fake shirt costs only ₦5,000 in China.
The client then showed him videos of how refurbished iPhones are repackaged and sold as new, calling Nigerians “too focused on fake life.” He also said many Nigerians travel to China to buy counterfeit goods and sell them at home as originals.
Reflecting on the conversation, the chef admitted it opened his eyes to Nigeria’s counterfeit crisis from fake phones and designer wear to adulterated cosmetics, alcohol, and drugs, which he warned are contributing to rising health problems like kidney failure.
“The issue isn’t the price, It’s selling fake as original and people are paying the price with their health.” he wrote
