The Delta state police command has arrested and detained one of its officers for shooting the tyre of a moving vehicle at Toscana Hotel, along Okpanam road, Asaba, the state capital.

A video showing the moment a police officer in the command fired a gun shot at the tyre of a moving vehicle went viral on Tuesday, October 22. It is uncertain why the officer took such a decision.

Reacting to the video via his X handle. the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Bright Edafe, said the officer has been arrested and detained. He described his action as ‘’unprofessional”.
