Both teams will use the game as preparation for their quest to conquer Africa when the powerhouses in Africa converge in Morocco later in the year. Both teams are yet to confirm the date for the mouth-watering clash despite being a friendly game.
The last time Nigeria and Egypt faced each other was at the delayed 2021 AFCON, which was hosted by Cameroon in 2022, with Nigeria winning the game 1-0 in a group stage match courtesy of a super strike by Kelechi Iheanacho.
