Old social media posts from Senator Ned Nwoko’s Moroccan wife, Laila Charani, have resurfaced, revealing her complaints about their marriage.
The posts come years after Laila reportedly had a falling out with Ned Nwoko, following the high-profile situation involving his sixth wife, Regina Daniels.
According to reports, Ned and Laila briefly separated in November 2021, with Laila announcing that she was ending the marriage and returning to Morocco without their children.
In December 2021, Ned gave his side of the story, accusing Laila of infidelity. He also alleged that she neglected their children and was physically abusive toward them.
He further claimed that Laila had undergone plastic surgery without informing him, exhibited erratic behavior, and spent time at nightclubs with another man while their children were away on a paid vacation.
Shortly afterward, Laila shared a WhatsApp message she said was from Ned, in which he requested that she post a pre-written apology on social media before stepping away from the platform.
Eventually, Laila publicly apologized to Ned, and the couple reconciled. In her social media update, she expressed her regret and willingness to make amends.
“This is to my entire Ned Nwoko family. I have realised that I made mistakes. They were not intentional. I listened too much to outsiders, and I have decided to apologize to my husband and other members of the family. I want peace and progress in the family.”
