Rangers assistant coach, Ekeh Ekenedilichukwu, has insisted that Fidelis Ilechukwu remain the head of coach of the club.
NEWSUNPLUG reports that Ilechukwu has been in and out of the team on international duty with the Super Eagles.
Ekenedilichukwu revealed that Ilechukwu prepared the team for the matchday 12 encounter against Shooting Stars.
He said that the team is playing under the instructions of the head coach.
Rangers defeated Shooting Stars 1-0 in Enugu on Sunday with Chidozie Iwundu netting the winning goal.
“Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu is not put of the team, he was part of the preparation for the clash against Shooting Stars.
“Ilechukwu’s absence doesn’t affect winning or losing as we are playing under his tactical guidance,” Ekenedilichukwu stated in a post-match interview.
