Democratic Republic of Congo head coach, Sébastien Desabre has insisted that the Leopards are the same level as Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Cameroon.
Desabre spoke while reflecting on DR Congo’s performances against Nigeria and Cameroon during the World Cup qualifying playoffs in Morocco.
Recall that DR Congo defeated Cameroon 1-0 in the semi-final playoff.
They eventually defeated Nigeria 4-3 on penalties in the playoff final on Sunday night.
Speaking to reporters in Rabat, Desabre said, “The two teams [Cameroon and Nigeria] gave us problems.
“What needs to be noted is that my team is at the same level as Nigeria and Cameroon. That is what we will remember after the playoffs.”
