Former Big Brother Naija star Kiddwaya has taken to social media to criticise Nigerians for their tendency to idolise politicians while overlooking their wrongdoing.
In a post on 𝕏, Kiddwaya highlighted how many people publicly praise and seek favours from politicians, yet retreat online to complain when decisions negatively impact the public. He pointed out that most of the criticism he receives comes from individuals who prefer mocking and joking rather than demanding better governance.
Kiddwaya wrote, “You keyboard warriors worship politicians and praise their misconduct. You hail and beg when meeting them in person but lack the courage to hold them accountable when their actions harm us all. All you can do online is insult people like me and crack silly jokes. The joke is on you.”
His remarks sparked varied responses. Some users agreed with his perspective but noted that Kiddwaya’s father has political ties, suggesting Nigerians often look outside for solutions instead of taking direct action. Others challenged the reality star to reveal what concrete steps he has personally taken to hold leaders accountable.
Another social media user supported Kiddwaya’s point, observing that while Nigerians frequently criticise pastors and celebrities, they continue to praise politicians in person, only to vent their frustrations online when issues arise.

You keyboard idiots will be worshipping politicians. Praising their bad behaviour. Hailing and begging when you see them, not bold enough to do shit when they make bad decisions that affects all of us yet the only power you have is to come online and cry like a bitch. Why don’t…
