Players of Fulham Football Club have given their teammate Samuel Chukwueze a new nickname.
Super Eagles stars Chukwueze and Alex Iwobi both scored for Fulham in their 5–4 defeat to Manchester City on Tuesday night.
The AC Milan loanee scored twice for his Premier League side at Craven Cottage, and following his performance, his teammate Alex Iwobi revealed he is now being called Chukwu-magic in the club dressing room.
Fulham boast three Nigerian internationals — Samuel Chukwueze, Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey — and the trio featured against Pep Guardiola’s side on Tuesday night.
Iwobi told FFC TV: “His nickname in the training ground is Chukwu-magic,” explaining that the former Villarreal player pulls off some remarkable feats during training. Now he’s getting that end product — scoring goals and also creating chances.”
Iwobi added that Chukwueze’s creativity makes him a particularly valuable asset.
Fulham’s next fixture is a home game against Crystal Palace in a London derby.
