Shooting Stars defender Gbolagade Adelowo has attributed the team’s defensive solidity to unity among the players.
The Oluyole Warriors are yet to concede a goal in their last three matches in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.
Shooting Stars secured a narrow 1–0 win over Remo Stars in a keenly contested encounter at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan on Wednesday.
Nurudeen Aweroro’s side moved to fifth position on the NPFL table with 23 points following the victory.
Adelowo insisted that togetherness among the players has also played a key role in their progress.
“The secret behind our impressive defensive record is solely on the unity among the players,” Adelowo told 3SCFANSTV.
“The coaching crew have been supportive also towards ensuring that we deliver in matches.”
Shooting Stars will face Nasarawa United next in a Matchday 16 encounter in Lafia this weekend.
