Nigerian comedian Bovi Ugboma has revealed his plan to secure a political appointment from President Bola Tinubu.
Recently, the list of presidential nominees was released, including several individuals who had previously been critics of the president.
In the recording, Bovi, who has had disagreements with fellow comedian Basketmouth, pointed out that those who openly praised President Tinubu, such as Seyi Law, have not received any rewards in return.
With his trademark humor, Bovi revealed that his plan is to start critiquing the president even when he agrees with the good things being done adding his own unique commentary.
He also stated that his ambitions go beyond a ministerial or ambassadorial role, hinting that he is aiming for an even higher position and intends to pursue every opportunity to get the president’s attention.
Reactions from fans were mixed. Some agreed with Bovi, noting that others, including Reno Omokri, had indeed benefited from such tactics, while others warned that the strategy might not necessarily guarantee success for him.
