Nollywood actress Omobolarinde Akinyanju, better known as Ashabi, has expressed excitement at finally serving her country.
Newsunplug reported a day ago that Portable’s ex-girlfriend announced she was finally fulfilling one of her mother’s wishes by going for NYSC.
Still on it, Ashabi expressed gratitude for the opportunity and said that her big dream is finally becoming a reality.
She noted how it took her five years after Secondary school to begin her University journey, and another three years after graduation to finally embark on her NYSC journey.
Ashabi said that she is now reminded of one of the many reasons she went to school, and her heart is full that she is proudly serving her country.
“God, I am grateful.
For this beautiful opportunity and a big dream finally becoming a reality in my life. My mum once said to me and my sis, ” Mo fe ke ka iwe, mo fe ke wo a corner”. Those words have continued to ring in my head every single day.
It took me five years after Secondary school to begin my University journey, and another three years after graduation to finally embark on this NYSC journey.
Today, I am reminded of one of the many reasons I went to school. It was a dream, a goal, and a promise I made to myself that I fulfilled.
And today, here I am, proudly serving my country, Nigeria!
My heart is full.
My joy is immeasurable.
