A heartbreaking video circulating online has shown the two friends and coaches of British-Nigerian boxing star Anthony Joshua who were k!lled in a fatal road crash in Ogun State.

The accident occurred in Makun, Ogun State, when the Lexus SUV conveying Joshua, with registration number KRD 850 HN, collided with a stationary truck along the road on Monday, December 29.

The victims were said to have recently arrived in Nigeria to spend the Christmas holiday with Joshua before the tragic incident cut their visit short. Videos shared on social media captured their arrival at the Lagos airport, where they appeared cheerful and excited, expressing hopes of enjoying their time in the country.

One of the deceased, identified as “Sina Evovle,” was reportedly Joshua’s Strength and Conditioning Coach, while Laz known online as “Healthy_Mindset,” was the personal trainer of the boxer. Both men were said to be part of Joshua’s inner circle and had traveled to Nigeria specifically to celebrate the festive season with him.

A press release signed by Kayode Akinmade, the Special Adviser to the Ogun State Governor on Information and Strategy, confirmed that preliminary reports indicate that two male foreign nationals d!ed on the spot.

In another statement, FRSC PRO in Ogun State, Afolabi Odunsi, also blamed the crash on overspeeding and wrongful overtaking by the driver, who overtook from the right-hand side and rammed into a stationary vehicle.
