Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle has showered encomium on Alex Iwobi following the midfielder’s impressive display in the side’s 4-0 win over Mozambique.

Iwobi has been one of the shinning lights for the Super Eagles at the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The Fulham star has thrived in midfield alongside the duo of Wilfred Ndidi and Frank Onyeka.

The 29-year-old provided the assist for Nigeria’s first goal of the competition scored by Semi Ajayi.

Iwobi had one of his best performances in the Super Eagles’ shirt in the 4-0 rout of Mozambique on Monday.

The former Arsenal player initiated the move for Nigeria’s opening two goals of the game.

Chelle highlighted his technical ability which has help his team to thrive.

“Alex Iwobi smells football. His IQ and technicality is good for the team and we must stay focused,”Chelle said after the game.
