Samuel Chukwueze has bagged his first Premier League award nomination with his club, Fulham, for his efforts in January 2026.
Nigeria international Samuel Chukwueze has been nominated for Fulham’s Goal of the Month award for January 2026, his first in the Premier League. The winger’s clinical strike against Brighton & Hove Albion is one of thirteen goals featured on the club’s shortlist for the monthly prize.
The goal arrived at a crucial moment during Fulham’s 2-1 comeback victory at Craven Cottage. It was Chukwueze’s first appearance back with the squad after representing the Super Eagles at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
With 18 minutes remaining in the match, Danish defender Joachim Andersen sparked the move by lofting a perfectly weighted pass over the Brighton defence. Chukwueze timed his run to perfection, latched onto the ball, and calmly guided his finish into the far corner to bring the Cottagers level.
Chukwueze is one of nine Fulham players in the running for the award. He faces stiff competition from teammates, including Tom Cairney, Harrison Reed, and Jade Bradley. Notably, Harry Wilson leads the nominations with four different goals in contention for the January title.
Fans and observers are now waiting to see if Chukwueze’s composed finish will be enough to secure the trophy in what was a high-scoring month for the club.
