Arsenal legend, Paul Merson has picked Manchester United as the favourite to finish in the Premier League top five this season ahead of Chelsea and Liverpool.
Merson argued that Man United holds a significant edge over their competitors due to their single weekly match schedule, as they are not engaged in European competitions this season.
Currently, the Red Devils sit in the fourth position in the league standings.
Chelsea and Liverpool trail behind United in fifth and sixth positions, respectively.
“At the moment, I would say Manchester United are the clear favorites for a top-five finish,” Merson told Sportskeeda.
“They only play once a week as well, which is a huge advantage compared to Liverpool and Chelsea.”
