Former Arsenal star, Paul Merson has tipped the Gunners to lift the UEFA Champions League trophy this season.

Merson is convinced that no team currently in the Champions League this season can defeat the Premier League North London club over two legs in the competition.

Following the conclusion of the group stage of the Champions League, Arsenal sits on top of the log and secured automatic qualification for the Round of 16 stage.

The Premier League may be wrapped up, Arsenal could win the Champions League because I don’t see a team that can beat them over two legs, but the FA Cup is different,” Merson stated in an interview with Sportskeeda.

“You’ve 90 minutes, and then you go straight to penalties; anything can happen in that competition.”

Arsenal, under manager Mikel Arteta, has been impressive thus far this term in all competitions.
