Liverpool legend, Steven Gerrard has suggested why Wolves defeated his old club in Tuesday’s Premier League tie.
Recall that Mohamed Salah’s goal was not enough to earn Liverpool a point as they lost at Molineux.
Speaking on TNT Sport, Gerrard said Liverpool failed to beat Wolves because Arne Slot’s side didn’t create enough chances to score.
For 65 minutes Liverpool were desperate tonight, really poor, didn’t create enough, didn’t play at the right speed or the right tempo, didn’t have enough quality,” Gerrard said of Liverpool’s display.
The result means Liverpool are now in fifth position in the Premier League table.
Liverpool, who are the current holders of the Premier League, will face Wolves in the FA Cup in their next game on Friday.
