Former Arsenal defender, Martin Keown, has picked the Gunners as the huge favourites to win the Premier League title this season.

Keown said this while also criticizing Declan Rice for his ‘nervy’ performance against Brighton as he hailed Gabriel for his ‘absolutely immense’ display.

Arsenal defeated Brighton 1-0 at the Amex Stadium, thanks to Bukayo Saka’s only goal of the match.

The outcome of the match means Arsenal are on top of the Premier League table with seven points ahead of Man City, who have a game in hand.

“It’s a massively significant night in the title race,” Keown said on TNT Sports. “Looking at that now, Arsenal have become huge favourites.

“It was torturous to watch at times, but Gabriel’s performance at the back was absolutely immense.

“It was tense, but you have got to keep going. Havertz came off the bench and gave a touch of class to the team. Calafiori also gave Arsenal a better balance in the second half.

“It was a bit nervy at times from Declan Rice, but boy, that is an unbelievable result for Arsenal.”
