AC Milan defender, Fikayo Tomori has apologized to Chelsea legend, John Terry after blind ranking him in 10th position in his list of top ten centre-backs of all time.
Tomori participated in the blind ranking challenge by SPORTBible, where he was given one name at a time and had to rank them among the top ten positions.
The 28-year-old, however, revealed that he would have preferred to put Terry in the third position instead.
The trick was that Tomori wasn’t given the entire list, so he did not know what the next name would be.
Terry’s name came up when Tomori had only the 10th and first positions left to be filled.
“10… Hey, JT – I’m sorry,” Tomori said.
“That makes me feel a little bit better that I put JT 10th, because I knew he was gonna come up.
“If I were to change it around, maybe I would shift everyone down. So I’d take John Terry out of the 10th one, slide everyone down and put John Terry third. That’s what I’d do,” he said.
In Tomori’s list, AC Milan legends Paolo Maldini and Alessandro Nesta were ranked first and second, while Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos is in third position.
Rio Ferdinand and Virgil van Dijk were ranked fifth and sixth, respectively.
Gerard Pique, Giorgio Chiellini and Vincent Kompany were ranked in seventh, eighth and ninth positions.
