Billionaire fashion designer, Oluwaseyi Adekunle, popularly known as Seyi Vodi, has revealed that he now charges as much as $300,000 (approximately ₦400 million) to design a single outfit.
He made the disclosure during a recent interview, where he also opened up about his journey to wealth and success in the fashion industry.
The designer, who made headlines in 2025 after unveiling a luxurious multi-billion-naira office in Abuja, has built a reputation for catering to Nigeria’s elite. His clientele reportedly includes high-profile figures such as Nigeria’s Vice President Kashim Shettima, music stars Davido, Burna Boy, and 2Baba, as well as businessman Obi Cubana and comedian AY, among other prominent personalities.
Others linked to his clientele list include Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, Governor Ademola Adeleke, Fuji legend K1 De Ultimate, and gospel minister Jerry Eze, alongside several other influential Nigerians.
Recalling his humble beginnings, Seyi Vodi said his first earnings were ₦3,600 from his time in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). He explained that while many of his peers spent their allowance at the time, he focused on saving and investing.
He added that his entrepreneurial mindset started early, noting that he once sold ice water in the barracks and learned the value of money from a young age. According to him, he even began his tailoring journey charging as little as ₦500 per outfit before rising to his current luxury pricing.
A graduate of Geology from the University of Maiduguri, Seyi Vodi also holds the national honour of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).
