Justice Chidiebere, the popular social critic better known as Justice Crack, was officially arraigned before the Federal High Court in Abuja this morning, May 4.
The court appearance follows his arrest by the Nigerian Army on April 26. In an official statement released Saturday, Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel Appolonia Anele, clarified the reasons behind his detention. According to the military, Justice Crack’s recent social media activity—which highlighted soldiers’ grievances regarding feeding and welfare—went beyond simple advocacy
The Army alleges that a deeper investigation revealed his interactions were intended to incite discontent and rebellion within the ranks.
