Suspected terrorists have k!lled a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and three others in a fresh attack along the Jikamshi–Funtua road in Katsina State.

It was gathered that the victims were ambushed and shot d3ad by armed bandits on Monday evening, May 4, 2026 while travelling along the notorious highway.

The corps member identified as Saidu Nasir and Saidu Liman, popularly known as Kalipha, was reportedly on his way to complete his monthly NYSC thumbprint when the attackers struck.

His lifeless body was returned to his family, riddled with gunshot wounds.

Confirming the incident on Tuesday, a security analyst Bakatsine described Saidu as a young man committed to his education and national service, lamenting that his k!lling underscores the worsening insecurity affecting civilians across the region.

He added that the tragic loss has thrown his family, friends, and classmates into deep mourning.
