The Premier League has officially revealed the eight nominees for the inaugural transfer of the season award for the 2025/26 campaign.
The award recognises the player who made the biggest impact after joining a new club during either the summer 2025 or January 2026 transfer window. Fans can now vote for their favourite before the deadline on Friday, May 29, with the winner set to be announced next week.
Among the headline names on the shortlist is Joao Pedro, who enjoyed an outstanding first season at Chelsea Football Club. The Brazilian forward quickly became one of the club’s most important attacking players with his goals, creativity, and versatility in attack.
Rayan Cherki was also nominated after a brilliant debut campaign under Pep Guardiola producing several match-winning performances and exciting Manchester City fans with his flair and technical ability.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin earned recognition after reviving his career at Leeds United. The English striker played a crucial role in Leeds’ impressive season by scoring important goals and leading the line consistently throughout the campaign.
Antoine Semenyo also made the shortlist following an exceptional season in which he established himself as one of the league’s most dangerous attacking players with his pace, power, and finishing ability.
Other nominees reportedly include Granit Xhaka, who transformed with his leadership and experience, helping the promoted side secure European football, as well as several other standout signings who exceeded expectations this season.
