Nigerian comedian and digital content creator, Officer Woos, whose real name is Oladapo Jubril Gbadamosi, has refuted widespread claims linking him to drug trafficking.
The allegations, which gained traction on social media, falsely suggested that the entertainer had been arrested by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) over the importation of bread and brownies allegedly infused with cocaine from Mexico.
According to the viral reports, Officer Woos had reportedly abandoned content creation in 2025 to concentrate on a bakery venture. The claims further alleged that the business sold loaves of bread for as much as $500 and catered exclusively to selected customers through a reservation system.
One of the posts fueling the rumour was shared by an Instagram user known as “Grandpa,” who claimed that the comedian’s bakery operations had drawn the attention of authorities, resulting in his arrest.
Part of the post stated: “NAFDAC arrests popular Nigerian content creator Jubril Oladapo Gbadamosi, popularly known as Officer Woos, for importing a huge number of cocaine-mixed bread and brownies from Mexico.”
Reacting to the reports, Officer Woos firmly denied the allegations, describing them as false and misleading.
The comedian issued an official statement through his legal representatives, rejecting the claims and addressing the viral publications. Sharing the statement online, he wrote: “An official statement regarding the false and defamatory publications currently circulating about me.”
