Nigerian music star Davido has urged residents of Osun State to come out in large numbers and exercise their right to vote during the upcoming election.
The singer made the call while addressing a crowd in Osogbo, where he encouraged voters not to allow fear, intimidation, threats or pressure to prevent them from participating in the electoral process.
Speaking to the crowd, Davido said:
“On that election day, I urge everyone to come out in mass and vote for the candidate of your choice, do not allow fear, intimidation, thr£ats or pressure to stop you from participating in the voting process”
Davido’s message centred on the need for voters to freely make their choices at the polls and actively participate in the democratic process.
After addressing the crowd, the singer also prostrated before Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, a moment that attracted attention from those present.
The gesture further added to the highlights of Davido’s appearance in Osogbo as he publicly showed respect to the governor.
