Superstar footballer Cristiano Ronaldo kicked off his 25th professional season by scoring his 977th career goal after coming off the bench to help Al Nassr cruise to a 4-0 victory on Friday.
Ronaldo was named among the substitutes by new boss Ange Postecoglou for their Saudi Pro League clash at Al Riyadh.
The 41-year-old Portugal star came on in the 62nd minute with his side already 3-0 up, thanks to goals from Abdulelah Al-Amri, Ângelo Gabriel and João Félix.
With just seven minutes left, Ronaldo converted Aiman Yahya’s low cross from eight yards to make it 4 – 0.
The strike saw Ronaldo move closer to the 1,000 goal milestone and was his 130th goal for Al Nassr in all competitions since joining the club in December 2022.
