Former England star, Paul Merson, has insisted that Manchester City will not win the Premier League title this season.
City go into the three-week international break three points clear at the top of the table.
Enzo Maresca’s men beat Sunderland 5-3 on Sunday, after Arsenal had lost 3-0 at Brighton.
But Merson, speaking on Sky Sports, claimed that the Gunners remain a more solid team than City.
He said: “Arsenal had been ripped to shreds, fully deserved. I was thinking they’d win the league quite comfortably and not lose too many football matches. Have I got this wrong?
“Then I saw City against Sunderland and go, ‘no’. There’s no way Manchester City win the league.
“Going forward, Manchester City were good but at the back they were all over the place. It just catches up with you, especially against the big boys.”
