Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has revealed that he recently received payment to participate in a rally in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The controversial singer made the disclosure while speaking about his financial situation and his plans to show more support for people on the streets.
According to Portable, he previously struggled financially, which made it difficult for him to spray money or give generously to people. However, he said things have changed after receiving payment and that he now has enough money to support the street.
“I was broke before, that’s why I haven’t been spraying money for the street, but now, I want to do rally for Tinubu, they’ve paid me, I’ve collected money and now I’ll show love to the street. I have a lot of money now, I’ve been paid and I’m fully supporting Tinubu”
His comment has since drawn attention online, particularly because of his direct admission that he had been paid to participate in the political rally.
Portable has previously been vocal about his views on Nigerian politics and public figures, often expressing his opinions through social media posts and public appearances.
