Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington, popularly known as Akpi, has lashed out at his former manager, Goskey, following their public fallout over alleged unpaid salaries and claims of mistreatment.
In a video that circulated on X on October 9, 2026, the controversial rapper questioned the need for a manager, insisting that he would rather avoid an arrangement that could drain his finances.
Speaking in the video, Speed Darlington did not hold back as he criticised Goskey and described the kind of person he would prefer to have working for him.
“Why I no go use you? You need to be used. You’re very useless, if not a fraud. I’m sure you can’t afford to buy a car. You used your own hand to make yourself my manager. Me wey dey look for who go serve me. What I want is someone that will be answering me ‘Sir’ from morning till night,” he said.
The rapper further explained that he had no interest in hiring a manager, adding that he would rather have someone who could attend to his personal needs.
“Wetin I wan do with manager? So my money go finish sharp sharp abi? I don’t need a manager because I don’t want anybody to eat my money. What I need is a house help.”
Speed Darlington’s comments came after Goskey publicly accused him of owing three years’ worth of salaries and allegedly subjecting him to an unpleasant working environment during their time together.
Goskey also claimed that the rapper received ₦30 million for his boxing match against fellow entertainer Carter Efe but paid him only a small portion of the money.
However, reports have cited different figures regarding the amount Goskey allegedly received, with the latest reported figure standing at ₦250,000.
The dispute has since drawn attention to the former manager’s allegations and Speed Darlington’s response, with both parties now at the centre of the public fallout.
