Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has shared his stance on marriage.
In an interview with Pulse TV, he said he has never been an advocate of marriage because it is more tasking for women. He noted how a woman bears the child, takes the last name and more, which he believes doesn’t make the woman.
He noted that, growing up, people constantly questioned why he wasn’t married at 25.
“I have never been an advocate for marriage because it is more tasking for the woman. She’s the one who bears the child; she takes your last name, so a lot of things happen, and I feel it doesn’t make the woman.
Growing up, you hear, “You’re 25 and not married. At this age, I already had 5 children”.
