Nigerian health advocate Dr Zo has advised both men and women to prioritise personal hygiene before engaging in sexual activities with their partners.
Dr Zo stressed the importance of maintaining proper body hygiene, noting that poor personal hygiene could negatively affect intimacy and relationships.
He made the remarks while expressing frustration over the numerous messages he receives from women who claim their boyfriends ended their relationships after their first sexual encounter.
According to him, some of these relationship issues could be avoided if individuals paid more attention to their personal cleanliness and took proper care of their bodies.
He urged couples not to overlook basic hygiene practices before getting intimate, emphasising that personal cleanliness should be a shared responsibility between both partners.
Dr Zo also expressed exhaustion over having to repeat the same advice repeatedly, insisting that people need to take the issue more seriously.
