Vice President Kashim Shettima has again taken a swipe at the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Peter Obi.

Speaking at the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential campaign rally in Akwa Ibom on Friday, Shettima said Obi cannot copy and paste Bangladesh in Nigeria.

According to Shettima, the former Anambra State governor has no plan for Nigeria beyond statistics and sweet talk.

He said Obi likes to compare Nigeria with Bangladesh and other countries without understanding the difference in population, institutions and economic structure.

“You cannot copy and paste what works in Bangladesh and think it will work in Nigeria,” Shettima said.

The Vice President said he respects Peter Obi as a person, but respect does not mean Obi can run Nigeria, calling Obi the master of bogus statistics and incoherent economic prescriptions.

Shettima also attacked Obi over fuel subsidy, stating that Obi has been confusing Nigerians on subsidy.

He added that Nigerians should look beyond the price of petrol and compare it with what people pay in neighbouring countries.
