Serie A giants AC Milan will negotiate with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to delay the release of Samuel Chukwueze for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Nigeria will open camp for the competition in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on January 1.

AC Milan have a cup game against Cagliari on January 2 and only want to release Chukwueze after the fixture.

The winger is expected to be named in the Super Eagles’ squad for the 2023 AFCON finals.

The Rossoneri also want to delay the release of midfielder Ismael Bennacer, who will feature for the Desert Foxes of Algeria at the AFCON.

DAILY POST also reports that Cypriot club, Omonia Nicosia, also want to delay the release of Francis Uzoho for the competition.

Omonia Nicosia want the shot stopper for their league clash against AEL on January 2.
