A fatal accident has claimed the lives of eight residents of Kyado community in Mbazun, Mbaterem, Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State.
It was gathered that the incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, October 17, at Tse-Uza, along the Katsina-Ala-Zaki-Biam Road.
A wake keep was held for the deceased on Tuesday while their remains will be laid to rest today, Wednesday, October 23, 2024.
An eyewitness said that it was a head-on collision involving a Toyota Corolla and a 14-seater Toyota Hiace bus,resulting in the d@aths of six women on the spot while two others died later.
It was gathered that the Toyota Corolla was conveying victims, all Okirika sellers, to Zaki-Biam when the accident occurred.
