Nollywood actor, Sylvester Madu has denied selling second-hand clothes, better known as okirika, after a video of him went viral.

In 2023, a video of the actor selling clothes in Enugu, with the floor as his store went viral.

Reacting now in a new interview, the actor admitted that was him in the video but stated that the clothes are brand new from the US, not okirika.

He added that the fact he had the clothes on the floor does not mean they are okirika. He further stated that he has been in the clothes business for years.

Madu said, “First of all, I don’t sell okrika. Those clothes I was filmed selling are not necessarily okrika because they were on the floor. I don’t sell okrika. I import from I sell from the U.S.”

He mentioned that he buys the clothes when they are going on sale in the US and imports to Nigeria.
