Rangers defender, Leon Balogun has revealed the key ingredients than can make the Super Eagles win the title at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Super Eagles last tasted success on the continent 12 years ago in South Africa.

The West Africans were finalists at the last edition of competition in Cote d’Ivoire.

Balogun said the team must show ambition, confidence and have a clear plan to claim the trophy in Morocco.

“The AFCON, well, it’s a tournament,” Balogun told Flashscore.com.

“You want to win. Every team that comes there, comes there with ambition.”

“So, yes, you have to take it for what it is. If they want to be the champions of Africa, (Nigeria) probably have a point to prove after the last AFCON.”

“So, you have to go there with a lot of ambition, a lot of confidence, but also with a clear plan.”

The Super Eagles are drawn in Group C with North African giants Tunisia, Uganda and Tanzania.

Eric Chelle’s side will open their campaign against the Taifa Stars of Tanzania on Tuesday, December 23
