Nigeria will open their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, campaign with a fixture against Tanzania on Tuesday evening.
The Super Eagles are looking to bounce back from their failure to qualify for the 2026 World Cup at the tournament.
Eric Chelle’s men are also in the hunt for their fourth continental title.
This is the first time both teams are facing each other since 1980, so there is not a lot of history between them.
The Taifa Stars are making their fifth appearance at the AFCON, while Nigeria finished as runners-up in the last edition.
